-Carve pumpkins
-Puddle jumping!
-Pick apples from an apple orchard
-Have a bonfire
-Jump in a pile of leaves
-Eat everything pumpkin (okay so maybe this isn't really something you cross off a bucket list buuuut it's definitely worth having on here)

Random facts about me

I got tagged to do this post from Ashley who you can read about at her blog here.
Thanks for the tag!

So let's see...random facts about myself!

-I'm only 5'2 but I actually love being short.
-I have a red birthmark on my third finger.
-Collarbones freak me out.
-I dance all the time but I'm not a good dancer...at all. I'm actually pretty embarrassing.
-I'm a huge cheese ball.
-I cry really easily. One time I cried at a picture of a baby panda with a birthday cake with a 1 on it for the panda's first birthday. It was just so cute.
-I had heart surgery (not open heart, just through my leg) about 3 years ago.
-I could stare at our lava lamp for hours and still think it's really cool.
-I'm a little bit (a lotta bit) addicted to tv shows and movies.
-Boy bands usually make me really happy because their music is so happy and dancey (one of my favorite non-word words).
-I quote movies like it's my job.
-Cheerwine is my favorite drink. My friend once said he thinks it runs through my veins.
-When it rains and it's sunny I think it's one of the most beautiful things in the world.
-I've had a fear of being kidnapped ever since I was 8 so I have a lot of different scenarios of how to escape (most of which probably would never work).

And on that weird note I'll wrap this up with something a little happier. A picture of a panda with a birthday cake. It's not the picture from earlier but it's still pretty cute.

Also if you wondered why my blog is called from freckle to freckle you can read about that here!

And coming soon...some videos of Josh and I :)

New Recipe!

Last night I decided to try out a new recipe I found online and it actually turned out to be delicious!
It's called Sweet Potato Black Bean Enchiladas and you can find the recipe here
We added cinnamon to the sweet potatoes(which I highly recommend) and used green enchilada sauce instead of red because obviously green is better.

It was one of those experiences where it sounds delicious but the more you make and mix it, the less you actually believe that it will taste good. Luckily it turned out great and made a lot and Josh even rated it an 8...maybe an 8.5 so I'll call that a success!
Later I was excitedly telling my sister about it and she said she had just made it for the first time on Saturday! So obviously that means you should try it and let me know what you think!

P.S. This week I started the process of changing my name. Let me just tell you, it is a lot more work than I thought. It makes me think of the episode of Friends when Phoebe changes her name to Princess Consuela Bananhammock....they make it seem so easy on the show. Let's just hope I don't have to re-take the test to get my license.

Projects...the fun kind

We recently moved in to a new apartment which we love! Okay...mostly. I mean who in their right mind says the internet is included but then expects you to buy a router for wifi? Not cool. In today's world and lingo that does not mean internet is included. But that's a whole different matter that we are done talking about (most likely....no promises

So once we finally unpacked all our stuff* we decorated and started doing all our DIY projects! We had a long list of re-painting and building things. (Josh was the one building things of course as I supervised/read Tina Fey's Bossypants book
*By our stuff I mean my stuff. Josh has hardly anything and I have way too much.

One of our first projects was changing these old TV trays I got from my Grandma.
And we love them!

Then I wanted a spice rack and wonderful Josh made me one which I love a whole lot.
Special thanks to his Mom for all the spices and cute labels.

Still a few more things we want to do but pictures will be coming soon of the rest of our apartment.
Just want to keep y'all in suspense a little longer :)
